It was awesome, and I was there!

So yesterday, my boy Barack came to St Louis. Apparently a record crowd of something like 100,000 came out to see him. I was there. I went with Amanda, Deanna and Joey (from OK).

It was amazing!

After taking a crowded MetroLink downtown, we got off and saw the line going down the street toward the river, there were a lot of people there, but no big deal.

So we went down the street and saw that the massive line of people turned the corner and went north along the river front. We turned and saw that it went all the way down the street to the Old Power Plant. Then it turned around and came all the way back toward the Arch.

It was daunting but we would not give up. As we waited, police and men armed with machine guns cleared us all from the street. A few moments later, Barack's motorcade came zoming by. I got to see him as he waved from the SUV speeding past, only about 10 feet away! Cool! Total, we stood in line for about 2 hours and walked almost a mile and a half till we finally got on the Arch grounds.

Barack was there and he had just started his speech. The actual roped off security area was completely full, but they let the rest of us crowd in around the edges. We ended up being barely 100 yards away from Barack as he gave a powerful and rousing speech.

It was an awesome experience and I'm so glad we were able to be there and get so close, closer in fact, than many of the people who were inside the security fences!

I cant wait for Nov 4th! Its been a long time coming and I truly believe that this guy can make a difference for the US and the world!

  2. Fun Times! I was so tired after that event and then had to stand in 6 inch heels for another 6 hours at my show that night.

He'd better win on the 4th because the alternative scares me.
